We had a great night at the club last Sunday the 18th of September when we were entertained by Glen Howell the Solo Cabaret Artist, (Rock your Blues away with "Step Back") from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
This was a FREE performance for our Membership and their guests, Playing the Music from when Music was enjoyable, the 50's to the 90's with songs from The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Rolling Stones, Shakin Stevens, The Shadows, Cliff Richard, Dwight Yoakam and the Mavericks just to name a few.
Glen is performing once again at the Club from 7pm on Friday 7th October so come along and have a very enjoyable evening and whilst there enjoy a few drinks a snack (the kitchen will be open and Mark will be on duty) and a lot of socialising.
From last Saturday and the season opening for all competition games from now on players must be in full pennant uniform.
Practice Pennant Games
Practice games are being arranged for the upcoming Pennant season, details will be released soon and all Bowlers are encouraged to make themselves available.
Valley V's The Firies Social Bowls Club
This event is another lead up to the commencement of Pennant for season 2016-17.
To be held on Wednesday 5th October a great day is assured.
There are still vacancies for this day so dont be shy put your name down.
Whilst final arrangements haven't been finalised (really we are waiting for the weather to improve) this popular competition open to all the community (especially those who are yet to get hooked on the game) will be operating from late September or early October for a period of about 8 weeks.

We are quite rapted to announce our new Membership cards and we ask all Members with the laminated cards to call into the Club and exchange them for the new edition. An image of the new cards follows:
Apart from looking better these cards are far less labour intensive as well as easier and quicker to produce and will cut down the time that you have had to wait for proof that you are a financial mmember.
Membership fees have been due and ayable from 1st May if you have not paid your fees you may be required to rejoin.
From 15th September email addresses of unfinancial Members will be deleted and no further emails will be sent, if you wish to yourself of the facilities you need to pay your fees. After all they are not very onerous being $20.00 for Social, $60 for Restricted Bowling( Can only bowl at our facilities) and $190 for full Bolwing rights (playing pennant, contesting Club Championships and other Club events)
If you are not a current financial member it is illegal to attend the club as only current financial members are entitled to be on Club Licenced premises.
Whenever you attend the Club the Committee asks that you ensure that you have your Membership Cards with you and that any Guests with you are signed into the Visitors book.(Guests are only allowed to visit 5 times before they are required to become a Member)
Checks will be made on current Membership situations and non Members will not be served drinks.
Our situation is in line with the official Liquor Licensing Act. It is a legal requirement that this happens and if not complied with it can cost the club large fines with the starting amount in excess of $1000.00.
If you do not have your Membership Card or proof of payment with you then you will be refused service and admittance.

Formed in 2005 at Ellenbrook part of the Swan Valley we are the Newest Bowls Club in Metropolitan Perth and invite all residents in the communities of Ellenbrook and surrounding areas to become Members.
Situated in the beautiful Swan Valley we have 2 synthetic grass greens with 16 rinks, a fully licenced clubhouse and currently some 520 members.

Bar Bricks or plaques are being sold at $50.00 each to be mounted on the facia of the Club Bar, they are gold in colour and just a little smaller than the actual brick they are mounted on.
The Extensions are all but completed and haven't they come along quickly. The exterior is completed the Bar built the painting done AND NOW we need members to step forward to help with the finishing off, a bit of electrical and laying carpet tiles are the major works to be completed prior to it being habituated.
One of the windows has been removed from the front wall of the Clubhouse and the wall now a solid space. This will now give us space for Honour Borads to be erected along with many other things which the lack of wall space has hampered.
The Chefs has a Special for both Fridays and Sundays :
Pulled Pork Sliders $15. BBQ Pork Shoulder slow roasted for 12 hours, Homemade Slaw wedged between toasted rolls and accompanied by Onion Rings.
Bangers and Mash $15. Grilled Gourmet Sausages nestled on a Creamy Mash with rich Gravy and Onion Jam.
Fishermen's Basket $15. A school of fish, prawns, scallops served with a crisp Salad, Chips and tatare Sauce.
Chicken Parma $15. Old fashioned favourite served with a Crisp Salad and Chips.
Scnitzels $15. Your choice of twender Veal or Chicken Scnitzel, with Crisp Salad and Chips served with your choice of gravy, Mushroom sauce ot Lemon Wedges.
Sirloin $20. Grass Fed Tender Sirloin cooked to your liking, Crisp Salad and Golden Wedges with your choice of Pepper or Mushroom Sauce.
